Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme
In May 2007, the students at TEENS+, completed the first section of their Bronze Award. This was the physical recreation
section for which the students completed 12 hours of swimming, running, using the machines in the gym, and trampolining.
These pictures show the students receiving their certificates from the Duke of Edinburgh.
Next, the students are completing the Service section of the
Award. For this, the students have had a recycling workshop, done 6 hours recycling; and completed conservation work
in Capielaw Woods, working along with the Green Team.
Red Nose Day
In March 2007, TEENS+ held some sponsored events to raise money for Comic Relief. The students swam lengths, did circuits
round the track, did a sponsored silence, sold cakes, and had cream pies thrown in their faces!
In total, TEENS+ students raised almost £150
