In her book\, she shares her journey of becoming a forensic psychiatrist through bizarre\, funny\, and shocking anecdotes. She also sheds light on society’s misconceptions surrounding mental illness and the need for health professionals to show more empathy with patients. \nThis event is being held to raise funds for Teens+ and Sleep Action\, both of which provide essential support so that people can thrive. \nTeens+ is a pathway for school leavers with additional support needs to fulfil their potential. Join us for a relaxed social evening of pizza\, movies\, and board games at our East Lothian Teens+ centre. \nThis social event is intended to give young people the space and independence to improve their social skills and create lasting friendships. Family members are welcome\, but we encourage you to allow your loved ones to engage their peers independently. Teens+ staff will be present at the event\, however\, this will not include 1-2-1 support. \nSpaces are limited for this event\, so book early to avoid disappointment. \nThis is an accessible and supportive event for individuals with additional support needs aged 17+ and is open to young people from across Edinburgh and the Lothians. You do not have to be a Teens+ student to attend. \nThe venue is wheelchair accessible and will feature sensory-friendly spaces. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
