We interviewed Amanda, a student at TEENS+. Find out what she’s been up to.

What are you up to today in TEENS+?

Telling news, doing a garden animals project, reading and comprehension, taking part in a ‘Music and Friends’ video call, taxi home.

What do you like about TEENS+?

The art room, and the main hall.

What is your favourite activity/thing to do at TEENS+?

Playing on the computer, painting, word searches.

What makes you laugh the most?

Gurgling, turning light switches on and off.

Do you have a funny memory from TEENS+?

When I called a staff member a character from EastEnders. When balloons were popping at the Christmas party.

Do you have a favourite book in TEENS+?

Bella the Bunny Fairy, I like them all.

What’s your favourite thing to do on a computer?

Typing exercises, going on Facebook.

What would you like to tell people about TEENS+?

It’s in Gilmerton and Liberton. Some people wear ear defenders because they have complex needs. People have difficulties but also have success.
