At Teens+, we believe in creating opportunities for every young person to grow, learn, and thrive. That’s why we’re excited to announce our upcoming Next Steps events calendar – part of our program designed for young people with additional needs to develop skills, explore new experiences, and discover what independence can look like for them.
Next Steps is all about building a supportive community where everyone can have fun, make new friends, and step up to new challenges. We organise a range of events and activities that give young people the opportunity to develop their social skills and make new friends. And the best part? Our events are open to young people with additional support needs from Edinburgh and the Lothians. You don’t have to be a Teens+ student!
Last year was a blast! From chill nights in, to epic nights out, we had so many fun events that brought everyone together. Here’s a quick recap of some of our highlights:
- The year’s events kicked off with an unforgettable Spring Fling Disco, where attendees danced the night away and made memories that will last!

When it was time to relax, Teens+ students embraced cosy Centre Nights In with classic movies, delicious pizza, and good company

June brought a cinema trip with a private screening of Mamma Mia! The film had everyone singing along

The energy was off the charts at the Open Mic Disco, where party-goers rocked the stage with music, dancing, and an incredible showcase of talent!

Students unleashed their creative sides at Doodles Ceramics, crafting one-of-a-kind mugs to take home as unique mementos

The Halloween Disco was a spooky and thrilling night, full of eerie fun, creepy costumes, and surprises around every corner!

The holiday season sparkled with a magical trip to the Botanic Gardens to see the stunning Christmas lights, followed by hot chocolates and toasted marshmallows
- The year wrapped up with a festive Christmas Disco, the perfect way to celebrate the holidays and end the year on a high note!
These events were a huge hit, and we loved seeing everyone have such a great time!
Next Steps Social Calendar 2025
The Next Steps Social Calendar is here, and this year’s lineup has something for everyone. From the buzzing atmosphere of late-night discos to the chilled vibes of relaxed nights in. Stay tuned for the full dates and booking information, which will be announced in the lead-up to each event.
What’s Coming Up: Spring Disco!
We’re gearing up to kick off the calendar again in April with our Spring Disco! It’s going to be a fantastic way to celebrate the new season, have fun, and hang out with friends, old and new.
